In honor of everyone’s favorite wall-crawler’s 50th anniversary, we present his first appearance.

Saying that Amazing Fantasy #15 is a classic is kind of like saying the Mona Lisa is just another painting.  In addition to introducing the world to Peter Parker (and his alter-ego Spider-Man) the cover to this little anthology book has become one of the most revered - and most imitated - comic images of all time.

Not bad for a series that got cancelled after one issue.
